frequently asked questions
How do I secure my session date?
To officially lock in your time on the calendar, a 50% non-refundable retainer and a signed photography agreement are required at booking. The remaining balance is automatically invoiced and due 48 hours prior to our session time. Because everything is handled securely online ahead of time, we don't have to talk about payments at your shoot. We can focus entirely on having fun and capturing magic!
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Life happens! If you need to reschedule or cancel your session, I require at least 7 days' written notice before your shoot date.
- Rescheduling: If notice is given within the 7-day window, your retainer will smoothly transfer over to a new, mutually agreed-upon date.
- Cancellations: If you choose to cancel entirely, or provide less than 7 days' notice, the retainer fee is non-refundable, as it covers the prime calendar slot reserved exclusively for you.
Do you deliver unedited or RAW files?
I believe that editing is half the magic of the creative storytelling process, and delivering unedited files would be giving you an incomplete scrapbook. Every image you receive in your final gallery will be fully polished, high-resolution, and reflective of the signature Paper Star Studios aesthetic.
Do you travel outside of Tuscaloosa?
Absolutely! While my standard package rates cover sessions within my base service radius of Tuscaloosa, I am always happy to travel to document your story. Sessions split between or located within the Birmingham area are simply subject to a standard, flat travel fee to cover mileage and time on the road.
